Dear World Travelers,

We call our tour “The Magic of Morocco” because we are certain that the sumptuous and mystical Morocco will cast her spell on you!

We start our journey in Morocco’s commercial center, Casablanca, and continue along the Atlantic Coast to the royal city of Rabat. Capital of the Almohad empire in the 12th century, Rabat is once again capital to the present-day Morocco. As our journey continues, we move inland through verdant rolling hills stopping at Meknes, Morocco’s 17th-century capital city, and the Roman ruins of Volubilis. Our journey continues to Fez where we’ll be bewitched again with her remarkable architecture and bustling souks. The finishing touch to our magical journey will be a visit to Marrakech, a 12th century oasis city set against a backdrop of the snow-capped Atlas Mountain peaks.

Special private tours of museums and a mansion will be included. Plus, we’ll stop at a Berber village and learn of their distinct folklore and native handicrafts.

You also will not want to miss the tour, Road to 1,000 Kasbahs. Aboard 4x4 vehicles, we’ll travel into the remote highlands of Morocco. You’ll be spellbound by fantastic views from the Tizi n’Tinifift Pass (5,000 feet in elevation). Visit small villages, see impressive Saharan sand dunes, stay overnight in a Merzouga desert camp, discover the beauty of the Todgha Gorge, and experience the City of Roses. Of course, along the way we’ll see and visit many Kasbahs, perhaps not quite a thousand, but a whole lot!

So you can see, this is truly a magical trip! We look forward to welcoming you to the group and making your vacation in Morocco an unforgettable one.

Yours in discovery and adventure,

Gwen Erwood
